The kitchen keeps going…

The walls were finally painted in the kitchen last weekend. They were delayed a week while my husband installed new pot lights over the sink. We had an ugly spotlight on the support post and since we were going to be painting the ceiling anyway, I thought this would be the perfect time to replace that light with potlights.

The countertops have been measured and we will be ordering them next week. In the meantime we’re hoping to install the harwood floors in the rest of the main floor before painting the kitchen cabinets. All the baseboards and window trim have been painted and are currently taking up space in the workshop; so once the floors are done the new baseboards can be installed and then there will be room in the workshop for all the kitchen cabinet doors to be painted.

And…we’ve also ordered all new stainless steel appliances from Lowe’s! They had a great sale last week, so we did not pay the prices you see in the links. We bought a Frigidaire french door refrigerator, dishwsher and gas range. As you can see in the link, they don’t actually sell that paricular range at Lowe’s, but I told them it was on sale at a competitor and they ordered it for us and matched the sale price.  I am truly impressed with the amazing customer service at Lowe’s!

This week the sinks and faucets are on sale, so we got our new kitchen sink and pull down brushed stainless faucet yesterday…again from Lowe’s 🙂
